We're in McMinnville, OR visiting Carissa's family for a few weeks. Her parents were kind enough to help us with the airfare since they wanted to see Carissa in all of her pregnant glory and would be too far along to be able to fly come Christmas time.
In downtown McMinnville, they shut down 3rd Street with barricades and all of the store owners pass out candy on Halloween. The turnout was amazing. I have been here several times over the years and I am always impressed by the community support and spirit by the McMinnvillians (this obviously was a good day, on others I have called them McMinnvidiots). We were joined by Carissa's dad and step-mom and her family. Leah was beautiful as Minnie Mouse. She had to put her costume on at 10 am and actually went to sleep in part of it.
There were so many people that in reality the whole thing ended up feeling like we were in a long line at Disneyland with everyone shuffling their feet and every few minutes saying 'Trick or Treat!' In fact, by the time we made it down one side of the street and started up the other the kids had initiated meltdown mode. Photo opps at the end of the event were exercises in futility. Despite this, we had a great time hanging out with family and enjoying a wonderful autumn evening. The air was crisp and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Afterwards, Carissa's dad treated us to some Mexican food at Mazatlan. Then we finished the evening off visiting Carissa's grandmother at her aunt's home.

So cute! Congrats on your up-coming baby girl. It will be so much fun. We don't know anything about having girls.... we only have boys!
Eric was in Oregon about a month ago for work, and wished you guys still lived there, but No... you moved!
(FYI:We actually have up-dated our blog... but ever since we went private, it doesn't send the info out that we've up-dated)
