Aloha e komo mai!

Well, here it is folks. Our family blog. We have learned that this is now requisite for families in the 21st century. We were married for time and all eternity in the Oregon Portland Temple on August 18th, 2007. So by way of introduction here is our little family:

Jason Kamuela - The dreaming entrepreneur. Jason was born in Kahuku, HI. He is Chinese, Japanese, Hawaiian, Portuguese, and Caucasian. At least according to his birth certificate. But he has been known to claim whatever is convenient. He graduated from BYU with a "useless degree." But he maintains that it helped Ken Jennings become the Jeopardy! champion and it certainly hasn't hurt presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. He started his own development company with one of his best friends from college. He always jokes that he hasn't made a dime but the hours are great. His wife taped a Chinese cookie fortune on the refrigerator that summed her feelings up well:

"Daydreams are pleasant, but accomplishments are satisfying"

Anyway, on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall Jason can be found glued to the television set watching football. Who are we kidding? Jason can be found glued to the television set whenever any sport is on, especially when his beloved Lakers are playing. He also loves snowboarding more than anything and can't wait to "kill Brighton" with his Aspen Grove All-Stars this winter. Most of all he loves his Father in Heaven, his Savior, and his beautiful family.

Carissa Nicole
- The optimist who masquerades as a pessimist. Carissa was born in McMinnville, OR. She's very proud of that. She hopes to convince Jason to move there someday. He's holding out for as long as possible. She's a registered democrat. Anyway, Carissa is extremely talented and has the voice of an angel. She honed her skills for three years touring and singing with the famed Twilighters Jazz group of Mac High. Go Grizzlies.

Carissa loves reminding Jason that at some point in their lives she'll be 25 and he'll be 30. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter Leah. Carissa is a neat freak and is constantly making lists. She is the most thorough person you'll ever meet. And she is also the most open and honest person you'll ever meet. These things combined make Carissa the most dependable person you'll ever meet. It's no wonder that every one of her friends feels as though she is their best friend. And that is pretty neat. Most of all she loves her Father in Heaven, her Savior, and her beautiful family.

Leah Kaleapau'ole - Our little smalley. This little bundle of crocodile tears is Jason and Carissa's pride and joy. She's also their smelly headache on occasion. Leah came into this would premature. But she was a soldier from the beginning and is still fighting. She enjoys Cinderella, Moo, Baa, La la la, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? Leah loves her grandparents. Leah also loves her parents very much and shows them with her not so gentle pats on the shoulder. Leah also loves flashing her cheesy grin to impress anyone who'll pay her any attention. She seems to prefer her daddy's armpit of all places in the world to sit. Jason enjoys watching football games with her. Leah loves the opportunity to clap and yell. Leah prefers Mom to Dad though because she is much more patient than he. Leah is learning about her Father in Heaven and Savior in nursery at church. She is the greatest blessing in Jason and Carissa's lives.

So there it is our little intro. We'll do our best to update it to keep you all in touch.
