Ohana means family, and Chong means together forever

Family, friends and strangers alike have all clamored for pictures of our wedding. So to indulge those that have asked and those who were unable to attend, this post is for you.


On August 18th, 2007 we were married for time and all eternity in the Oregon Portland Temple. After we were sealed, our beautiful daughter Leah was brought into the sealing room and she was sealed to us. It was an incredibly emotional experience and there were few dry eyes.


We strutted out of the temple in style. Or at least Jason did. Or at least he thinks so.


The next few hours were spent smiling and posing for photos until we could no longer smile normally.


Jason was hoping for more photo opportunities like this one.


Carissa looked amazing and her bridal portraits are worthy of their very own blog. Instead here is one of Jason's favorites of her. Coincidentally this is also one of Jason's best shots.



Prior to our reception at the Kiser residence we had a special ring ceremony performed by President Egan of the Dayton Singles Branch. We exchanged our beautiful rings in front of our close family and friends.


Afterward, Carissa danced with her father Randy and Jason joined in bringing his mother Julie to the dance floor. We then shared our first dance as a married couple.


The cake was decorated per Carissa's wishes with lots of white flowers. It turned out beautifully and was delicious too.


Jason and Carissa opted for the classy route and agreed to not shove cake in the other's face.


Leah on the other hand took the classic approach. But with no groom to oblige, she did it herself.


We tried to leave but our car was disabled temporarily by some loving friends. So we snapped one last photo with our beautiful daughter and kissed her goodbye as we prepared to depart on our honeymoon.

There you have it. This is just a glimpse of all the pictures taken. Thanks also to our families whom without their loving support (checkbook) we could never have had the wedding and reception of our dreams.
