Cowboy Up at Wheeler Farm!

We enjoyed one of the last nice days of autumn before the cold set in with a family outing to Wheeler Farm. It's a live working farm in the area that Salt Lake County now manages. Leah loves animals and plays with her farm animal magnets on the refrigerator daily. So we thought that she'd be tickled to see them in person.

The first stop was to see the horses. Despite the signs instructing visitors not to feed the horses we couldn't help but tug some tufts of grass to feed them. Leah was a bit scared at first but warmed up to the horses quickly. And they warmed up to us.

Next up were the rest of the farm animals. They had cows, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits, and chickens. Leah loved them all. However, she loved all of the other little kids running about a bit more. We're really glad that she is starting to grow socially. Nursery has been great for her. She is learning to interact with other kids her age and it has been interesting to see her seek the approval of others.

Jason's sister Rainy has been living with us the past couple months. She has been a joy to have in our home. Leah loves her so much and we know that she will be missed when she leaves us shortly. She's a beautiful person.

Our daughter Leah loves her daddy. Who wouldn't love someone that holds them high in the air and lets them dangle until they cry?

This was a great family day that will be remembered for sometime.
